Position Summary: This full-time position helps to maintain, in conjunction with other clinicians, office hygiene efforts to ensure the delivery of quality & comfort focused dental hygiene and periodontal care to patients.

Required Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Current Radiographic & CPR certification
• Dental Hygiene degree from accredited program or university
• State licensure in good standing with State Board without disciplinary action
• Min. of 1 year experience working as a dental hygienist in a dental office
• Fluency in dental terminology, dental procedures, sterilization & patient flow
• Fluency in Dentrix Ascend, or Dentrix, preferred
• Computer literacy, ability to type proficiently and maintain clinical notes

 

Essential Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate hygiene patient notes, records & ledgers
• Oversee radiograph acquisition as needed and per office protocol
• Oversee hygiene operatory setup, sterilization, & inventory efforts
• Oversee hygiene patient re-care, scheduling, & appointment confirmation efforts
• Help manage assistants as needed to facilitate office hygiene protocols
• Maintain accurate & up-to-date periodontal records & chartings per office protocol
• Deliver high quality & comfortable dental hygiene & periodontal care to patients
• Deliver effective OHI and recommend retail products when appropriate
• Follow all applicable practice, government, OSHA & HIPAA guidelines & training
• Assist as needed with other appropriate tasks as directed by senior team members
